FAQ'S

01 What are Lash Extensions?

A synthetic lash that is long, thick and curled is partially dipped in surgical grade adhesive. It is then placed on a single natural eyelash of yours just a fraction away from the eyelid, so it never touches the skin. A new set is up to 60 lashes per eye.

02 How do I prepare for my appointment?

Arrive with your lashes as clean as possible - mascara and oil free. This will give you the strongest bond

03 How long does the application take?

A regular new set of lash extensions takes 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours and a regular retouch will take about 1 to 1 1/2 hour.

04 How long will they last?

Natural lashes are always growing with a life cycle of 90 to 120 days before shedding. To keep extensions pretty and full, retouches are recommended about once every 2 weeks.

05 Can I wear mascara?

Yes, if you like, but its not always necessary. Oil-Free mascara is recommended because oils tend to break down the adhesive. We carry Bella Lash Oil-Free Mascara and Lash Cleanser.

06 Do Lash Extensions damage my natural lashes?

No, not if applied properly (see gallery for examples). Too much length, weight, or inadvertantly gluing together natural lashes can stress the lash follicle causing stunted growth. Our technicians are thoroughly trained to preserve the health of your natural lashes.

07 How do I remove Lash Extensions?

Lashes should only be removed by a professional with special adhesive softener.

08 Can I have a Lash Lift with Lash Extensions?

Not with Extensions on. A Lash Lift is a curling process for natural lashes only. But Extensions may be applied after a Lash Lift.

MAINTENANCE:

Most of our adhesives are cured when your lash application is complete. Depending upon which adhesive is appropriate for you, your technician will inform you if different after care is necessary.

For Classic and Babydoll lashes we recommend you apply our Protective Coating twice a week, on lashes only, at the base of the lashes. This helps prolong the bond. Protective Coating is a liquid teflon that reinforces adhesive, which naturally tries to break down over time.
